WHAT'S NEW

I managed to push through technical difficulties and finished Episode 3. That's right the dollar game that just won't die just got the five more levels that were promised. So whether you like or hate the game, there is now more of it!

Changelog:

• Episode 3 that consists of 5 levels
• Two new enemies
• Every level now has it's own dedicated music track, even EP2 missions.
• New assets and textures

DETAILS

This update took a while because of various technical issues with Unity, and a creative block on my end, and even though I pretty much had enough of this game at the end of EP3, I still think it turned out okay, but that's ultimately for you guys to decide! I tried to make the maps smaller with a greater focus on combat, but not sure how well that translated.

The new enemies are clones of the Anak General and a Jet Trooper. The General clone has two sub machine guns and is the toughest human opponent. The Jet Trooper flies around you with a jet pack shooting rockets in glorious 90's jank. I wanted to focus on the Anak faction of enemies as they are the main antagonists of CARNAL. The EP ends with a boss fight against the "enhanced" General who is receiving a blood transfusion to make himself into a giant. It's stupid, dumb and cheesy but I think it fits the narrative of the game quite well.

The maps will take you away from Seed Valley to the Anak Base and even other weirder areas. Hopefully the atmosphere and ideas of the maps give off the vibe I was going for.

STUFF I STILL WANT TO ADD LATER

I still want to add customizable keybinding options to the game, but working on this game alone makes it take longer, so now that EP3 is out I can focus on adding that when I can get it working good. Also want to take a deep long look at the game over time and maybe add more details where I can.

CONCLUSION

As always I'm not a professional game developer, and CARNAL started as a hobby prototype and was just made for stupid fun, so don't hesitate to let me know if something in the game is off, as I am the only one that tests it before patches go out. Thanks for the good feedback and advice guys!
