Patch 1.4.8


Changelog:

  • Based on feedback all enemies are much more alert now. They can hear bullets flying past them, comrades screaming and explosions going off now more clearly. They legit hate that shit.
  • Fixed weapon changing with the mouse wheel on E1M1
  • The NeoStead shotgun is low less accurate, but still useful.
  • The Shredder minigun is also less accurate and is better at closer range, but still useful.
  • The Vektor rifle has been slightly buffed.
  • The Plasmagun is now an automatic firing weapon, does less damage and is more like the one in Doom 2.
  • The Raygun is still beast, but needs 50 radiation cells to even shoot. There is now an indicator on the gun to tell you if you can't read numbers good.
  • Explosive ammo pool is doubled to 50.
  • I tried to make the platforming easier and less obnoxious in the last levels of EP1 and EP2.

This update came a bit later than my usual speed, I am still busy with EP3 and that is taking longer than I have the patience for. Starting to gain a better understanding of why people work in teams when making games. Making maps is mind-numbingly tedious. As for the AI aggro buff please leave feedback if this change makes the game experience worse for you, I know not everyone likes this type of realism in retro shooters.
